Many people find walking to be the most enjoy\able form of getting active (exercising). A quick walk around the block may be more powerful than you think. The evidence is mounting for exercise’s mood-boosting benefits — and experts say the positive effects can be felt at any fitness and intensity level. “You can see very large psychological benefits with low-intensity exercise,” Jack Raglin, a professor of kinesiology at Indiana University’s School of Public Health, recently told The Guardian. “It’s not like the longer or harder you exercise, the better you feel.” So do what YOU enjoy! Your more likely to stay consistent if you like something and CONSISTENCY IS KEY!! Rome wasn't built in a day as the saying goes.

The key, health psychologist Kelly McGonigal added, is choosing a form of movement that makes you FEEL GOOD even if it doesn’t fit into what you traditionally think of as exercise. Whether it’s catching up with a friend on a walk, scheduling a zoom workout with us, or even just dancing along to your favorite song, consider making movement a part of your mental health toolkit. This is where our motto of live longer, feel better, and add life to your years comes from! comment YOUR favorite way to be active below!
